Accident Report
July 25, 2026, a teenager was killed following a boat accident that happened at around 6:15 a.m. out on Laguna Madre.
Preliminary news reports on the crash say it happened in the area of the Bird Island Basin Ramp located on the west side of Padre Island.
The cause of the crash remains unclear at this time. Reports say only that there was a boat crash, and a 16-year-old boy sustained fatal injuries as a result. It’s unclear if anyone else was involved in the accident.
