Pittsfield, IL — January 17, 2024, Blake Pulis was injured in a truck versus train accident at approximately 1:00 p.m. along 340th Avenue.
According to authorities, 22-year-old Blake Pulis was traveling in a southbound 18-wheeler hauling a load of feed on 340th Avenue in the vicinity south of C.H. 2 when the accident took place at a railroad crossing.
Officials indicate that, for as yet unknown reasons, a train collided with the passenger side of the 18-wheeler, pushing it along for approximately 500 yards before coming to a stop. Pulis was allegedly ejected from the vehicle during the crash. He incurred injuries of unknown severity and was transported to a local medical facility in order to receive treatment. No other injuries have been reported.
