Concho County, TX — June 15, 2024, a Big Spring man was injured following a dirt bike accident at around 9:20 p.m. along Recreation Road 11.
Authorities said in their preliminary statements that the accident happened near the Concho Park Marina along the south side of the Colorado River.
Investigators said that a 26-year-old Big Spring man was on a dirt bike traveling along northbound R.R. 11. While doing so, the bike apparently struck a deer that entered the roadway, ejecting the man from the bike. This result in serious injuries. Authorities did not mention anyone else being involved in the crash.
Currently, additional details about the crash can’t be confirmed. Folks tend to think there’s nothing to discuss when it comes to someone hitting a wild animal. Often, there’s not. But there can always be unusual circumstances to consider. Defects, medical conditions, road flaws, alcohol—these can all create unique challenges that authorities may not take the time to adequately address.
