Houston, TX — February 28, 2024, a bicyclist was killed as a result of a car accident at approximately 10:20 p.m. along Spencer Road, F.M. 529.
According to authorities, a bicyclist was attempting to cross Spencer Road in the vicinity west of Highway 6 when the accident took place.
Officials indicate that, for unknown reasons, the bicyclist was struck by a Toyota Rav4. As the bicyclist was attempting to haul their bike from the roadway, they were reportedly struck by a second vehicle, a Honda HR-V.
The victim was flown to an area hospital in order to receive immediate treatment of the injuries they incurred due to the accident. However, they were ultimately unable to overcome their injuries, having been declared deceased.
