Houston, TX — July 31, 2024, one person was injured due to a car versus bicyclist accident around 10:00 p.m. on Highway 6.

Investigators said that the accident happened in the area of Briar Forest Drive.

Initial statements say that a 67-year-old man was on a bicycle at the time at the intersection of TX-6 and Briar Forest Drive. While the man was attempting to cross the intersection, it appears a Honda Accord struck him.

With pedestrians and bicyclists, I find people are a lot more likely to jump to conclusions instead of wait for the facts. Even authorities sometimes let their bias get in the way of a careful investigation that focuses on evidence.
