An investigation is underway into a bicycle accident that left one person injured during the late morning hours of September 25th. According to official reports, a 60-year-old woman was travelling on a bicycle on Barton Hills Dr. in the northbound lanes, at Briarcrest Dr. when a Jeep Patriot coming from Briarcrest, failed to yield the right-of-way and struck the bicycle.
When first responders arrived on the scene, they found that the 60-year-old had sustained serious injuries and transported her to the hospital. At this time there has been no further information released about the accident, including the status of her injuries and whether any charges or citations will be filed.
