Jefferson County, TX — March 2, 2024, Betty Cooper was killed as a result of a pedestrian versus car accident along East Lucas Drive.
According to authorities, 62-year-old Betty Cooper was on foot trying to cross East Lucas Drive at the Pine Burr Boulevard intersection when the accident took place.
The cause the accident is still unclear. Officials indicate that, for as yet unknown reasons, Cooper was struck by a motor vehicle as she was attempting to cross. She suffered reportedly critical injuries as a result of the collision and was transported to a local medical facility by emergency medical services in order to receive necessary treatment. However, she was ultimately unable to overcome the severity of her injuries, having there been declared deceased.
