San Carlos, TX — March 23, 2024, Bernardo Santamaria Magana was killed in a hit-and-run pedestrian versus car accident at around 6:15 a.m. on S.H. 107.
According to authorities, 46-year-old Bernardo Santamaria Magana was on foot walking south across State Highway 107 in the vicinity west of 84th Street when the accident took place.
Officials indicate that, for unknown reasons, Magana was struck by an eastbound passenger vehicle that appeared to be either red or maroon in color. The person(s) in the vehicle reportedly fled the scene, failing to offer aid of any sort to the victim.
Magana incurred reportedly fatal injuries as a result of the accident and was declared deceased at the scene. Additional details pertaining to this incident are not available at this point in time. The investigation is currently ongoing.
