Accident Report

Sugar Land, TX — February 24, 2026, Beatriz Salazar was injured in a hit-and-run accident just before 11 a.m. on Southwest Freeway/Interstate 69.

A preliminary accident report indicates that a 2018 Dodge Ram 1500 collided with a 2010 Toyota Corolla while changing lanes near One Sugar Creek Place Boulevard, forcing the smaller vehicle to crash into a concrete barrier.

Toyota driver Beatriz Salazar, 45, was seriously injured in the crash, according to the report.

The Dodge driver, who was not injured, was charged with failing to stop and render aid, the report states.

Authorities have not released any additional information about the Fort Bend County crash at this time.
