How Did This Accident Occur?

Was the driver distracted or fatigued? Did she swerve to avoid another vehicle? Did the SUV have a problem with its steering mechanism? I don’t claim to know the answer to these questions, but they are the kind of things that authorities should consider as they investigate this crash.

Investigators will work to reconstruct this accident by gathering vehicle data, physical evidence, witness statements and any available video footage, while cell phone records could show if the driver was texting or interacting with an app at the time. A qualified expert should examine the Chevrolet in a laboratory setting if authorities suspect a mechanical issue contributed to this crash.

Most law enforcement agencies are not equipped for such inspections, in my experience, but the driver and her family deserve to know as much as possible about this accident.
