Bowie County, TX — February 2, 2024, one person was injured following an ATV accident that happened at around 7:00 p.m. along County Road 1118.
Preliminary details about the crash indicate that it happened in the area of County Road 1118 and County Road 1111, just north of U.S. 67 on the outskirts of Maud.
According to officials, a 46-year-old man was on a Can-Am ATV which was going along northbound County Road 1118. While doing so, the ATV lost control, and the vehicle overturned. This threw the operator off the vehicle, and it appears he sustained a head injury upon hitting the roadway.
Officials indicated the man’s injuries were serious. There did not appear to be anyone else involved in the accident. Right now, additional details are unavailable.
