Accident Report

Mobile, AL — April 15, 2026, Aram Saakian was killed in a truck accident at about 1:30 a.m. on westbound Interstate 10.

Authorities said a semi-truck left the road and caught fire after colliding with another vehicle that had been left in the middle of the highway near Tennessee Street.

The truck driver, 26-year-old Aram Saakian, was hospitalized with life-threatening injuries after the crash, according to authorities. He died April 19.

No other injuries were reported.

The driver of the abandoned vehicle, a 47-year-old man, was arrested on charges of leaving the scene of an accident involving death and attempting to elude, authorities said. He told police that he had left the vehicle after it ran out of gas, and left the area on foot after hearing the crash.
