Houston, TX — December 27, 2025, a man sustained injuries resulting from a shooting at an apartment complex off Sherwood Lane at around 9:30 p.m.
Authorities released initial details about the incident, saying it happened at apartments off the corner of Sherwood Lane and Helberg Road.
It appears there was a “gathering” at the apartment complex. During this gathering, an altercation of some sort occurred. Someone ultimately shot a man involved in the altercation. The man reportedly was treated and in stable condition.
Authorities did not report arresting any suspects at this time.

One key factor that can help in these situations is video footage. It could be a nearby unit had security cameras or a doorbell camera, or people at this gathering may have had their phones out. This evidence can be time-sensitive, so the sooner steps are taken to secure the evidence, the better.
