Commentary by Attorney Michael Grossman

Needless to say, accidents like this result in chaotic accident scenes for authorities to investigate. An explosion could be the result of anything from ruptured gas lines to poorly installed appliances to botched repair jobs to preexisting hazards on the property that management failed to address. It’s important investigators are prompt in their work and don’t keep the victims and families in the dark about what they’re looking into. If victims and families have to wait around for weeks or months to get answers, it’s reasonable they’d want to seek out independent investigators who can get things moving and clear things up.
