San Marcos, TX — August 11, 2023, Anthony Cordova Jr. was fatally injured due to a car accident that happened at around 10:40 p.m. on Highway 123.

According to officials, the crash took place in the area of the Highway 123 and De Zavala Drive intersection.

Anthony Cordova Jr. Killed in Car Accident in San Marcos, TX

Investigators said that 34-year-old Anthony Ray Cordova Jr. was in a Toyota Scion XD going northbound along the highway. While doing so, the Toyota and a Nissan Altima also going northbound collided. After the initial collision, details say the Toyota went into a ravine off-road.

Cordova was reportedly thrown from the vehicle at some point during the accident. Cordova’s injuries proved fatal. The other driver had no reported injuries. Authorities didn’t report any charges or citations. The exact cause of the crash can’t be confirmed at this time.
