Live Oak County, TX — December 10, 2023, Anna Maria Perez and another were injured after a car accident at around 4:45 a.m. on U.S. Highway 281.
According to officials, the crash took place across both directions of U.S. 281 near mile marker 630, just outside George West.
Investigators said in their statements that 32-year-old Anna Perez was a passenger in a Chevy Tahoe that was going southbound on the highway. That vehicle apparently veered to the left and ran onto the median. This led to the vehicle careening onto northbound lanes before overturning off the side of the road.
Due to the crash, Perez had injuries which were apparently moderate. The driver of the Chevy was said to have serious injuries. No other injuries were reported. Additional details about the cause of the crash can’t be confirmed right now without further information.
