Accident Report

Horizon City, TX — July 18, 2026, Angelica Gomez was injured in a car accident at about 11:40 a.m. in the 14000 block of Eastlake Drive.

A preliminary accident report indicates that a 2015 Chevrolet Express van allegedly failed to yield while turning left from Horizon Mesa Drive, causing a collision with a westbound 2015 Volkswagen Passat.

Volkswagen driver Angelica Gomez, 47, was seriously injured in the crash, according to the report.

The Chevrolet driver, 23, was cited for failing to yield at a stop sign and driving without a license, the report states. She was not injured in the crash.

Authorities have not released any additional information about the El Paso County crash at this time.
