Hunt County, TX — December 13, 2023, Angela Fields and one other person were injured in a truck accident at approximately 6:30 p.m. along State Highway 34.
According to reports, 53-year-old Angela Fields and a 56-year-old woman were traveling in a northeast bound Chrysler Town and Country minivan approaching the County Road 3701 intersection when the accident occurred.
An 18-wheeler with a trailer in tow was parked on the northwest shoulder of S.H. 34 preparing to back the vehicle onto C.R. 3701. Officials indicate that the big rig allegedly initiated the maneuver at an unsafe time, blocking both lanes of traffic. As a result, the minivan collided with the left side of the trailer. The 56-year-old woman in the minivan sustained suspected moderate injuries, while Fields incurred reportedly serious injuries; both women were taken to local medical facilities in order to receive treatment. No other injuries were reported.
The accident is under investigation by local authorities. There are not currently any additional details available pertaining to this incident. The investigation is ongoing.
