Dallas, TX — November 12, 2023, Andy Emmanuel Rodriguez was injured following a hit-and-run accident at around 2:30 a.m. along I-35E.
Authorities said in preliminary statements that the collision occurred on northbound lanes of the interstate in the area of Inwood Road.
According to officials, 24-year-old Andy Rodriguez was on a Ducati motorcycle which was traveling along main lanes of the Stemmons Freeway. While doing so, a red SUV struck the motorcycle from behind. The motorcycle lost control and crashed, ejecting Rodriguez. The SUV then left the scene.
Rodriguez was left with apparently serious injuries.

Authorities did not give any information to suggest they’ve identified the runaway driver. It’d be a lot more encouraging if authorities would come back to these kinds of accidents more often. Usually when authorities find a runaway driver this long after an accident, it’s because someone in the community connected the dots and came forward with useful information. Hopefully putting this incident back in the public eye could lead to that sort of conclusion.
