Boerne, TX — May 13, 2025, Andrew Libby was killed as the result of an explosion accident at around 10:00 a.m. at Camp Stanley.
Initial statements about the accident say the incident occurred at an ammo depot on the Army Joint Base Camp Bullis grounds
It appears 39-year-old Andrew Libby was working at the time, though it has yet to be confirmed if Andrew Libby is a service member or a civilian. While working, something led to a fuel tank exploding. As a result, Andrew Libby was killed.
There were no other reported injuries. At this time, the cause of the accident remains under investigation.

It’s very concerning to see something like this happen, but it’s important investigations are thorough enough to determine if this happened due to working conditions or if there were preexisting issues that made an incident like this inevitable. Hopefully steps are being taken to get the victim’s loved one answers and to keep them in the loop as more information comes to light.
