Houston, TX — February 22, 2024, a pedestrian was killed in a hit-and-run car accident at approximately 10:30 p.m. along North Loop.
According to authorities, a man was on foot in the active westbound lanes of the North Loop in the vicinity of Bevis Street when the accident took place.

The causal factors that led to the accident are still unclear. Officials indicate that, for as yet unknown reasons, the man was struck by a westbound SUV. The person(s) occupying the SUV reportedly fled the scene, neglecting to stop and render aid of any sort to the victim. The pedestrian incurred apparently fatal injuries as a result of the collision and was declared deceased at the scene.
