How Did This Accident Occur?

In an early morning truck accident like this, fatigue is often a big factor. Investigations may show that was true here, as well. That said, it’s way too early for there to have been a complete investigation. Hopefully someone is following up with the authorities to make sure they’re giving this crash the attention it deserves.

Frankly, I’ve handled hundreds of commercial vehicle accident cases, and they’re not always treated with the care they need. Authorities don’t always have the time, tools, or trained personnel to dig into complex possible factors. Vehicle defects, roadway design, medical conditions, road marking and debris analysis—I don’t usually see that sort of thing until I have independent accident reconstructionists step in and take over the investigations.

If authorities here are well-equipped and can ensure the victim’s loved ones will have all of their questions answered, that would be good to hear. But I’ve found that when families find their concerns aren’t being adequately addressed, it’s reasonable for them to want another pair of eyes looking things over so nothing important slips through the cracks.
