Orange County, TX — January 18, 2024, Amy Perez was injured following a semi-truck accident at around 7:40 p.m. along Highway 62.
Preliminary information about the wreck released by authorities says that it happened on Highway 62 just south of the intersection with Interstate 10/U.S. 90.
Authorities reported that 42-year-old Amy Marie Perez was in a Ford F-150 traveling southbound along the highway. Up ahead, police say a tractor-trailer turned left out of a business to go northbound. Perez’s vehicle was unable to avoid hitting the 18-wheeler, crashing into the side of the trailer.
Due to the collision, Perez was taken from the scene with injuries believed to have been serious. There were no other reported injuries. At this time, additional details about the crash are unavailable.
