How Did This Accident Occur?

Did the semi-truck turn when it wasn’t safe? Or was the pickup speeding as it approached the intersection? Or did a mechanical issue contribute to the crash by affecting one vehicle’s brakes? These are possibilities that authorities must consider as they investigate this crash.

The investigation should generate the facts needed to piece together how these two vehicles came together on F.M. 306. Evidence from the scene, witness statements, data from the vehicles and any available video footage of the crash will help, but an outside expert will be needed to examine the vehicles if there is any indication that a mechanical defect contributed to this accident. In my experience, most law enforcement agencies don’t have the time or training for such exams.

The injured driver and her family deserve to know how this crash happened, and that means a thorough investigation must be completed so they don’t have any lingering questions.
