How Did This Accident Occur?

Details are sparse at this point, underscoring the needs for a full investigation into this crash on U.S. 281. I expect authorities to gather witness statements, evidence from the scene, data from the Chevrolet and any available video footage of the accident to reconstruct the crash.

That should tell us how the crash happened, but the why may require a deeper look, especially if investigators think a mechanical issue may have contributed to this accident. In my experience, most law enforcement agencies don’t have the resources to conduct a forensic examination on the vehicle, so the victim’s family likely will need to seek out an independent expert for that exam.

The family deserves answers to any lingering questions they may have about this accident.
