Somervell County, TX — October 31, 2025, Alvie Joe Mitchell was injured as the result of a car accident at around 11:15 a.m. along FM 56.

Single-vehicle accidents make up a significant portion of the crashes I get calls about. People are rightfully concerned that authorities might jump to conclusions rather than fairly consider their side of the story. The reality is this is a well-founded concern.
Sometimes, authorities move on too quickly from single-vehicle accidents, as they may be seen as a low priority. As a result, important evidence can slip through the cracks unless there are independent investigators there to catch those details.
It’s possible authorities here have been more thorough and are letting the facts speak for themselves. It’s just important to make sure of that rather than waiting around and risking the investigations being mishandled.
