Accident Report

August 31, 2026, a woman and a man were injured following an alleged drunk driver accident outside a McDonald’s off Sidney Baker Street.

Preliminary reports from officials say that the collision happened in the parking lot of the McDonald’s at 600 Sidney Baker Street, just off Schreiner Street.

According to officials, a 90-year-old woman and her 71-year-old son were walking through the McDonald’s parking lot at the time. While doing so, a vehicle struck the pedestrians. As a result, the woman was seriously injured while the man had reportedly non-life-threatening injuries.

Authorities allege that the driver involved in the accident was impaired at the time. They reportedly arrested the driver for alleged DWI and aggravated assault.

How Did This Accident Occur?

If it’s true that alcohol contributed to this accident, that raises some serious red flags. As open-and-shut as a situation like this may seem, there could be more to this than just a single driver making a reckless decision.
