If authorities never mentioned the possibility of intoxication here, the accident happening half an hour after the bars close near a major college campus would already send up red flags. With that in mind, it’s important investigators find out if the allegedly intoxicated driver was coming from a local bar or club after a night out. That establishment could be in trouble if evidence shows they over-served this driver and contributed to the accident.

A lot of people think investigations into these accidents begin and end behind the wheel. However, Texas law recognizes that negligent alcohol providers contribute to serious intoxicated driving accidents. As such, they need to be a part of the conversation so the victims can rest assured there will be accountability for all negligent parties involved in the accident. Is that happening here, or are authorities moving on too quickly?
