Commentary by Attorney Michael Grossman

An alleged hit-and-run is concerning enough on its own without that driver being behind the wheel of a commercial vehicle. It raises serious concerns about why that driver left the scene and whether or not those reasons have any implications about their employer’s lack of oversight or low quality standards. Ultimately, even if charges against this driver are warranted, the story might not end there. Additional steps may need to be taken to ensure there is full accountability here and that there is no further danger to the public.
