Midland County, TX — September 11, 2024, Allee Perry and Shakif Tejani were injured as the result of a car accident at around 11:00 a.m. along Business I-20.
Authorities said they were called to the area of the Midland International Airport along Highway 80/Business I-20.
According to officials, 26-year-old Allee Perry was in a Chrysler going westbound on the highway. Perry was reportedly attempting to make a u-turn, during which an eastbound Chevy Suburban crashed into Perry’s vehicle. As a result, Perry sustained serious injuries. The other driver, identified as 59-year-old Shakif Tejani, had possible injuries.

Details can’t be confirmed right now, but authorities mentioned alcohol as a possible factor. If alcohol was involved here, that could mean there’s a negligent alcohol provider involved who’s responsible for contributing to these injuries. If an alcohol provider unlawfully over-serves someone, they can face fines, charges, or liability if that person gets themselves or others hurt. Unfortunately, authorities tend to overlook this possibility, instead just looking for someone to blame. That’s why it can take more thorough independent investigations to actually get people the help they need.
