How Did This Accident Occur?
This crash likely happened because one of these vehicles left its lane, but at this point we don’t know which one. Or why. That is why a full investigation into this accident is needed.
Investigators must figure out if one of these drivers was fatigued or distracted. Or if one vehicle swerved to avoid an object in the road. Or had an issue with its brakes or steering mechanism.
Answers will come as authorities work to reconstruct this crash, using physical evidence, witness statements, data from the vehicles and any available video footage. Cell phone records could show what these drivers were doing at the time, but an outside expert may be needed to inspect the vehicles if investigators suspect a mechanical problem contributed to this accident.
