People might see authorities recommending a charge for the allegedly at-fault driver and think that’s the end of things. What more could there be to consider? But the process of authorities filing charges and the process of getting victims and families a proper resolution tend to be separate. That’s why a lot of folks find themselves weeks or months after a crash needing independent investigations to get clear answers that authorities never got them. Sometimes, authorities go the extra mile to focus on the needs of the victims and families as well as their own purposes. Most of the time, though, a crash is far from resolved just because a negligent driver is getting a court date.
