Blountville, TN — March 8, 2024, Alexa Hoffman was killed and one other person was injured in a truck accident at approximately 9:00 p.m. along I.H. 81.
According to authorities, an 18-wheeler was at a stop in the right-most of the southbound lanes of Interstate Highway 81 between Airport Parkway and State Highway 126 because of a previous accident when the crash took place.
Officials indicate that, for unknown reasons, a southbound pickup truck occupied by 37-year-old Alexa Hoffman and one other person collided with the rear-end of the 18-wheeler. Hoffman incurred reportedly fatal injuries due to the wreck. The passenger from the pickup truck sustained injuries of unknown severity. No other injuries have been reported.
