No further information can be confirmed right now, and I can only hope that’s due to authorities being as thorough as possible in their investigations. It often surprises people just how complex a fatal car accident can be. It’s not always as simple as looking into things like speed and distracted driving. Experienced investigators have to answer all kinds of questions the public doesn’t often consider.

Did the vehicle have any defects? Were there issues with the road itself? Did a tire blowout? Was someone illegally over-served by an alcohol provider? Did a driver suffer a medical emergency? Did another driver cause the crash, then flee the scene? Was there a lack of signage or lighting that played a role in the crash? Common or not, possible factors need to be considered after any serious crash. Otherwise, it’s likely families will find themselves with unanswered questions that need further investigations to clear up.
