There’s still no clear confirmation on what led to that accident, and I can’t help wondering if it’s getting the attention it deserves. Unfortunately, single-vehicle accidents aren’t always a high priority for the police. This can sometimes lead them to jump to conclusions, overlook complex possibilities (defects, road design, drivers over-served by bars, medical conditions, etc.) or move on before getting all the facts. Maybe they’ve been thorough enough to get the family some answers behind the scenes, but if that required further independent investigations, it unfortunately wouldn’t be the first time.
