Accident Report

Dallas, TX — April 5, 2026, Orinthions Brown and Adrian Marshall were killed in an alleged drunk driver accident at about 2 a.m. near North Jim Miller Road and Military Parkway.

Authorities said a pickup collided head-on with a sedan near the intersection, then tried to drive away. The driver was detained until police arrived after a witness chased him down.

Both people in the sedan died; Orinthions Brown, 42, at the scene and Adrian Dion Marshall, 51, after being transported to a nearby hospital, according to authorities.

The pickup driver was jailed on two counts of intoxication manslaughter and two counts of collision involving death, authorities said. Officers noted alcohol on his breath when he was arrested, but he refused to provide a breath or blood sample, so police obtained a warrant to test his blood.

Authorities have not released any additional information about the Dallas County crash at this time.

How Did This Accident Occur?

Police seem to have concluded that this crash was caused by a drunk driver, but that has not been confirmed yet. With that in mind, authorities should investigate the crash as normal, reviewing evidence at the scene, data from the vehicles’ engine control modules and any available video footage to determine how this accident unfolded.

A second investigation should commence if it is proven that the pickup driver was intoxicated to determine where he had been drinking prior to the crash. If he had been drinking at a bar or restaurant, that establishment also could be accountable for any injuries he caused after getting behind the wheel if he was served while obviously intoxicated under Texas law. Most law enforcement agencies don’t have the resources for investigations like this, so the victims’ families may need an independent investigation to identify everyone accountable for this crash.
