McLennan County, TX — June 27, 2025, Adan Villasmil Virla was injured as the result of a car accident at around 4:00 a.m. along US Highway 84.
Investigators said that the incident took place in the area of FM 1330 outside of Axtell.
According to officials, 33-year-old Adan Villasmil Virla was in a Toyota Corolla going along the highway. A Peterbilt semi-truck was going eastbound. The vehicles somehow crossed paths and collided. Adan Villasmil Virla reportedly was seriously injured as a result.

Anytime a commercial truck accident occurs, it’s important careful steps are taken to preserve evidence. That means analyzing debris patterns, inspecting vehicles for defects, preserving electronic data from the vehicles, cellphones, and any possible video cameras, looking at road design, lighting and signage, etc. Even unlikely factors deserve consideration to make sure the whole story is being told fairly. Sometimes, authorities are on top of that. A lot of the time, that sort of thoroughness requires independent investigations. How these investigations have been handled remains to be seen.
