How Did This Accident Occur?
Initial reports say this crash happened because the Mercedes drifted out of its lane while going around a curve, but what if the first officers on the scene got it wrong? It doesn’t happen often, but it is one of the reasons a full investigation is needed. The investigation also will give the family that is grieving after this accident a clear picture of what happened on Mixon Road.
Authorities will work to reconstruct this accident by poring over vehicle data, physical evidence, witness statements and available video footage. Cell phone records could show what each driver was doing at the time, but an in-depth vehicle inspection will be needed if investigators suspect a mechanical issue contributed to this accident.
