How Did This Accident Occur?
A traffic citation means case closed, right? Not necessarily. It just means that police suspect the Camaro driver is the one who caused this crash, but the investigation into this accident could prove otherwise.
What if the signal lights at the intersection were not working properly? What if the Camaro had an issue with its brakes that prevented it from stopping? I don’t know the answer to these questions, despite my years of experience in accident investigations, but I know these are scenarios that authorities must consider as they work to fully reconstruct this accident.
Investigators will review evidence from the scene, data from the vehicles, witness statements and any available video footage, but they may need outside experts if there are indications that a mechanical or medical issue contributed to this crash. Digging for answers to every lingering question is a must to provide the victim and her family a clear picture of how this crash happened.
