Willoughby, OH — October 17, 2024 One person is dead following a truck accident on State Route 2 around 4:00 P.M. in Willoughby
An investigation is underway to try and figure exactly what caused a multi-vehicle collision that claimed the lives of 1 person on Thursday around 4:00 P.M. on Route 2 in Willoughby.
According to official reports from authorities, a flat bed tow truck rear-ended a plumbing truck, which then caused a chain-reaction collision with several other vehicles. Due to the damage done to the tow truck, first responders had to to extricate the driver before being transported to the hospital.
The driver would later be pronounced dead at the hospital. At this current time, no other injuries have been reported, and the identity of the deceased has not been released.
