Commentary by Attorney Michael Grossman
A crash as serious as a commercial truck wreck needs equally serious investigations. Sometimes, authorities are up to that challenge. Too often, though, they aren’t. I’ve had countless accidents like this come across my desk where authorities simply didn’t have the training, tools, or time to really dig into more complex possible factors. That’s why independent investigations can be so vital after a truck wreck. They might just confirm that authorities already did good investigations. Otherwise, if there were important details authorities overlooked, an independent investigation can help set the record straight.
