Greene County, TN — December 28, 2023, a 10-year-old was injured due to a tractor-trailer accident at around 10:40 a.m. along Highway 93.
Initial details about the accident said that it happened across both directions of Highway 93 and involved a tractor-trailer and a GMC Terrain.
According to officials, a driver and a 10-year-old were in the GMC which was reportedly going northbound on the highway. From oncoming lanes, a tractor-trailer somehow lost control, police say, causing it to go left of center where it crashed with the oncoming GMC.
As a result of the collision, the 10-year-old apparently had “non-life-threatening” injuries, however the child was taken to a hospital via helicopter for treatment. There were no other reported injuries. At this time, it’s unclear if any charges have been filed.
