Bar D Brewhouse and Restaurant is located in San Saba, Texas. In recent years, it has attracted the attention of the TABC due to allegations of liquor law violations. Between 2018 and 2019 alone, authorities conducted two investigations into the bar's alcohol service practices.

TABC Investigations of Bar D Brewhouse and Restaurant Between 2018 and 2019

Allegations:
On 03/21/2018, the TABC received a complaint from a concerned citizen, claiming that staff was drinking on the job and sold alcohol to an intoxicated patron.
Authorities followed up with an investigation soon thereafter. For most liquor law violations, the TABC requires either video footage of the incident or eyewitness testimony from one of its agents in order to take action. In this particular instance, it had neither. As a result, the case came to a close on 05/07/2018.
Law enforcement filed a complaint with the TABC on 01/05/2019, alleging that the bar sold alcohol to a customer who was already drunk.
TABC agents looked into the matter, but due to a lack of video evidence, they were unable to determine the veracity of the claim. Even when the source of a complaint is a police officer, TABC agents still need corroborating evidence in order to act. With no other option available, investigators closed the case on 02/07/2019.
