Baby Dolls Topless Saloon And The TABC
Baby Dolls has been a part of the Dallas and Fort Worth adult entertainment scene for nearly 30 years. Owned by Burch Management, Inc., the club is part of a catalog of over a dozen other adult entertainment and cabaret clubs in and out of the DFW area.
There have been many stories that have circulated locally regarding the adult entertainment industry, especially regarding the extracurricular activities that some, not all, may allow to occur at their establishments. However, we just want to plainly and succinctly lay out the facts and circumstances regarding possible alcohol violations that put patrons and motorists at risk due to irresponsible alcohol service.
Simply because a Baby Dolls Topless Saloon location has been investigated, it does not mean that they are a location that displays a pattern of violating TABC code. Conversely, if a location has been investigated and investigators determine that they are not in violation of TABC code, that does not mean that the alleged violation did not take place. At times, sufficient evidence required to prove that either criminal or administrative violations occurred is hard to come by. We are simply reporting the locations that were put on the TABC's radar for one reason or another by concerned citizens and law enforcement agencies.
Baby Dolls Locations That Have Been Investigated By The TABC Since 2007
Dallas - 10250 Shady Trail
Allegations in 2007:
On 09/27/2007, a police agency alleged that there had been solicitation of alcohol beverages and other possible violations.
The TABC found no criminal violations, however, found that there indeed had been an illegal soliciting of alcoholic beverages as well as three other violations. The alcohol license was cancelled at the time of the incident.
Allegations in 2009:
On 3/12/2009, a police agency alleged that there had been solicitation of alcohol by the employees, likely dancers, of this location.
TABC investigators found that the allegations that the police made were shown to be backed up by evidence. On 3/12/2009, Baby Dolls was found to have violated several TABC guidelines, including three alcohol-related matters.
Allegations in 2015:
On 3/16/2015, it was alleged by a patron that an employee was intoxicated and engaged in the sale of alcohol to an intoxicated person.
TABC detectives found that there was enough evidence to justify a restrained disposition for selling a person that was already drunk, which is against TABC guidelines.
Next, a member of the Dallas community alleged that employees were engaging in lewd acts or exposure and possibly prostitution. The Dallas native also alleged that bartenders were refilling bottles, instead of using new bottles with unbroken seals.
The TABC closed their investigation into the matter on 12/1/2015 with no further action taken against Baby Dolls.
Allegations in 2016:
In September it was alleged that there was possibly more prostitution issues, however, the TABC closed the investigation in the middle of November after failing to find enough evidence to corroborate the claim..
Allegations in 2017:
On 12/5/2017 it was alleged that this location had sold alcohol during prohibited hours according to TABC code. They were also accused of possible sexual activity occurring between patrons and employees.
TABC investigators closed their look into this matter on 1/17/2018 after being unable to find enough evidence to make the allegations stick.
