How Did This Accident Occur?

While a lot of early morning single-vehicle accidents involve things like distracted driving or fatigue, it’s important that investigations cover all possibilities. My concern is that police departments sometimes treat accidents like this as a low priority. This can leave officers without the time or equipment they need to do a proper accident reconstruction, and important details may slip through the cracks as a result.

That’s why single-vehicle crashes make up a significant portion of the kinds of crashes I get calls about. People find that authorities are treating them unfairly or moving on without any clear answers, and they naturally want someone to step in and pick up the slack. An independent investigation may simply confirm what authorities already know, or they can catch crucial evidence authorities missed. At the end of the day, so long as the facts speak for themselves, there can be an appropriate conclusion for the victims and families involved.
