How Did This Accident Occur?
Initial reports of this crash indicate the driver of a work van “lost control” before crashing into a guardrail. Road conditions, described as slushy, may have contributed to the crash, but bad weather can’t be the only explanation.
Was the driver going too fast? Did the van have a problem with its brakes or steering mechanism? Did it have a tire blowout?
Only a thorough investigation will answer these questions. If the one conducted by police doesn’t provide those answers, the families affected by this crash may opt for an independent investigation. I have seen that approach yield results on countless occasions during my career.
