Houston, TX — November 17, 2025, John Provost was injured as the result of a hit-and-run accident around 7:00 p.m. along McGallion Road.
According to initial details about the accident, it happened in the area of Crestline Street in north Harris County.
Investigators said that 54-year-old John Provost was on a bicycle going southbound along McGallion. While doing so, a vehicle reportedly struck John Provost. That vehicle then fled the scene.
Due to the accident, John Provost was killed. It’s unclear if authorities have located the runaway driver.

If authorities are still looking for this runaway driver, keeping the details in the public eye is one of the best things anyone can do. A lot of the time, someone in the community can help connect the dots. In the meantime, I wonder if authorities looked at any of the nearby residences for cameras. A lot of folks these days have security cameras and doorbell cams. If any of them had a view of the road, one of the resides might be sitting on vital evidence.
