Tarrant County, TX — June 14, 2024, Mercy Schwisow and one other person were injured in a car accident at approximately 5:30 p.m. along S.H. 26.
According to reports, 26-year-old Mercy Schwisow was traveling in a northbound Ford Focus on State Highway 26 attempting a left turn onto Fairway Drive with a green arrow from the traffic signal when the accident took place.
Officials indicate that, for as yet unknown reasons, a southbound Ford Fiesta occupied by a 17-year-old man failed to stop for the red light indicated by the traffic signal, entering the intersection at an apparently unsafe time. This resulted in a collision between the Ford Fiesta and the Ford Focus.
Schwisow incurred suspected severe injuries as a result of the crash. The man from the Fiesta sustained moderate injuries as well, according to reports. They were each transported to local medical facilities by EMS in order to receive necessary treatment.
