Eastland County, TX — March 21, 2024, Brandon Tyler Woods and Annabelle Neely were killed while Kaiden Nathaniel Newby was injured in a single-car accident along I.H. 20.
According to authorities, 18-year-olds Brandon Tyler Woods and Annabelle Neely along with 19-year-old Kaiden Nathaniel Newby were traveling in the left-most westbound lane of Interstate Highway 20 in the vicinity east of Ranger when the accident took place.

The causal factors that led to the accident are still unclear. Officials indicate that, for unknown reasons, the vehicle failed to safely maintain its lane of travel. It reportedly veered left, leaving the roadway and entering the center median dividing the east and westbound lanes of the highway. The vehicle then crashed into a creek. Neely was partially ejected and Newby was completely ejected from the vehicle during the course of the accident. Both had reportedly been seat belted at the time of the crash.
Neely and Woods incurred reportedly fatal injuries as a result of the wreck and were declared deceased at the scene. Newby sustained injuries of unknown severity and was taken to a local hospital by emergency medical services in order to receive necessary treatment.
