Red River County, TX — August 3, 2023, one person was injured in a collision with a commercial truck around 1:25 p.m. on F.M. 911 in Red River County.
According to investigators, the victim was traveling north in a Chevy Lumina while a Peterbilt semi-truck was southbound on F.M. 911 when the two vehicles reportedly collided. The nose of the Lumina purportedly struck the driver-side of the Peterbilt cab, then was forced into a clockwise spin, collided with a tree, and overturned.
The driver of the Lumina was reportedly transported to a medical center with serious injuries.
Investigators have not released what factors led up to the accident.
